Vega Sicilia's Valbuena 5º Año is a lighter wine than the Único, a blend of Tempranillo and Malbec, matured for five years Vega Sicilia is undoubtedly a unique wine and one of the great Spanish classics. Its personality derives not only from the maximum quality of the grapes and the rigor of its manufacture, but above all from the love of detail that the Álvarez family has been able to transfer to its wines. This winery has been awarded the following prizes: Gold Medal and Grand Diploma of Honor at the 1927 Madrid Christmas Fair and the 1927 Barcelona Hotel Exhibition, and the Grand Prize of Honor at the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition.
