DESCRIPTION
Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, Masseto, 2005.
Tuscany IGT, Italy.
3 bottles of 75 cl.
Condition:
Levels: 3 BN (Base Neck). Front labels are complete and legible, with stains and scuffs, most visible along the edges and lower areas. Back labels are legible, with stains and superficial wear. Capsules show scuffs and isolated areas where the coating has worn away, most noticeable on the bottle to the left in the front view. The upper portions retain the “Masseto” inscription and show slight superficial marks. The corks remain hidden and cannot be assessed. No obvious external signs of leakage are visible in the provided images. Dark deposits are visible on the inside of some bottle necks; the glass and lighting prevent a precise determination of the wine’s color, clarity, and sediment. The box has stains, scuffs, and dark areas on the inside and on the dividers; the wrapping paper is also stained.
It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Masseto 2005 is a Merlot red wine closely linked to the blue clay soils that give the wine its name. The winery describes a gradual ripening process, with a staggered harvest between September 14 and 30 to ensure the various sections of the vineyard reach full maturity.
