DESCRIPTION
Le Pin, 2006.
Pomerol AOC, Bordeaux, France.
1 bottle, 75 cl.
Condition:
IN level (Into Neck). Front label is damaged, with extensive ochre-colored stains, dark and bluish marks, abrasions, and paper loss, especially on the left side and the bottom edge. The wine’s name, appellation, vintage, and volume are identifiable. Red capsule with gold lettering, slight scuffs and creases beneath the top ring, with no obvious breaks visible in the provided images. No clear external signs of leakage in the photographed areas. Cork hidden by the capsule. The dark glass and lighting prevent a reliable assessment of the wine’s color, clarity, and possible sediment.
It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Associated with Jacques Thienpont since 1979, Le Pin comes from a small vineyard located in the heart of the Pomerol plateau. Its identity is closely linked to Merlot and to soils that combine clay, gravel, and sand with iron-rich components. The vineyard’s small scale and limited production lend this iconic wine from Bordeaux’s Right Bank a special appeal.
