DESCRIPTION
Château Mouton Rothschild, 2000. Pauillac AOC, Bordeaux, France. Premier Cru Classé.
Red wine.
1 bottle, 75 cl.
Robert Parker/The Wine Advocate: 97+/100, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, October 2019. Robert Parker gave it a 96+ in June 2010.
Condition: IN (Into Neck). Back label shows scuffs, stains, and a tear with loss in the upper right corner, which partially obscures the château’s name; vintage, appellation, alcohol content, and volume are legible. Black capsule with ornamentation and a gold band, showing slight scuffs and isolated wear on the upper motif.
From a private collection cellar, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Made from 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot, Château Mouton Rothschild 2000 also stands out for its unique commemorative presentation. For this vintage, the château replaced the usual artistic label with the Augsburg ram, rendered in raised gold enamel on the glass, inspired by a piece of goldsmith’s work from around 1590 preserved in its museum. A careful fusion of wine and the decorative arts that gives this bottle a particularly distinctive identity.
