Although he studied with Joan Lahosa at the Baixas Academy in Barcelona, Busom can be considered primarily a self-taught artist. He worked in both painting and printmaking, and held his first solo exhibition in 1959 at the Vayreda Gallery in Barcelona. He continued to exhibit his work in the following decades, mainly in Madrid and Barcelona, at galleries such as the Parés in Barcelona. His work has also been shown in group exhibitions in Paris (the Grand Palais in 1979 and the Drouant Gallery in 1989) and Santo Domingo (1980). Currently, his works are included in Spain’s most important collections, notably the Reina Sofía Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Pontevedra, the Museum of Huesca, and the Museum of Valls.
