Laura Ríos Villares is a prominent Spanish visual artist, painter, printmaker, and professor, associated with the intimate realism movement. She combines her artistic practice in her own studio with her research and teaching work at the Complutense University of Madrid. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the UCM, receiving the Extraordinary Award and the National Graduation Award. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts with a dissertation titled *Analysis and Artistic Review of Tadeo Haenke’s Pictorial Technique in His Botanical Studies in the Americas* (2023).
She is a member of the research groups ECO ECO (focused on landscape) and IMPACT (Image, Heritage, Art, Conservation, and Technology). Her interests bridge the history of the Enlightenment in science with the visual arts.
