This early 20th-century bookcase stands out for the simplicity of its handcrafted construction and its distinctly functional design, reminiscent of the utilitarian furniture of the period. It features a rectangular structure with vertical proportions, organized into twelve open compartments distributed across six levels and two columns by means of wooden shelves and dividers. The visible joints along the upper edges highlight the traditional woodworking techniques used in its construction.

The contrast between the dark finish of the sides and the natural wood of the interior accentuates its geometry and the architectural character of the piece as a whole. The surface retains a distinct patina, with signs of wear that attest to its age. Its understated design, devoid of ornamentation, reflects an essentially practical aesthetic, which is particularly appreciated today in industrial- and contemporary-inspired interiors.
