A set of three bayonets representative of the evolution of military bladed weapons from the late 19th century to the early decades of the 20th century. The pieces feature straight, fluted blades, guards equipped with a ring for attaching them to the rifle, and wooden grips, with different designs for the crossguards and pommels.
One of the specimens can be identified as a Spanish Model 1913 machete-bayonet, intended for use with Mauser rifles and manufactured in Toledo. It shares both its characteristics—straight blade, checkered wooden grip, and steel fittings—and the marking “ARTILLERÍA FCA NACIONAL TOLEDO”; the Museum of the Arms Industry holds an example of the same model with an identical inscription. Another of the specimens also bears the characteristic Toledo marking.
