Set of two lighters, France and Switzerland, 19th–20th centuries.
One of them is a DUNHILL, Rollagas model, Switzerland, second half of the 20th century.
Gold-plated metal with geometric hobnail-style guilloché decoration.

The second lighter is made of hallmarked silver, decorated with guilloché and a floral finial.
They show patina and signs of use consistent with their age.
Measurements of the Dunhill: 6.5 × 2.5 × 1 cm.
The set illustrates the evolution of the portable lighter from traditional 19th-century wick-style models to the sophisticated gas lighters developed in the 20th century. The French piece stands out for its cylindrical silver body, embellished with meticulous guilloché decoration and a raised floral finial, reflecting the late 19th-century taste for small luxury personal items.
The Dunhill, by contrast, reflects the functional minimalism of the second half of the 20th century. Its gold-plated surface is entirely engraved with a geometric pattern in relief that multiplies the reflections of light, while the characteristic side roller is integrated into the design. The Rollagas, introduced by Dunhill in 1956, used butane gas and became one of the brand’s most iconic models.
