Drippy Kicks (Blue Electro) is part of the sculptural series *The Drip Collection*, created by Debbie Wingham beginning in 2021, in which she transforms iconic objects from the worlds of fashion and luxury through a surrealist-inspired aesthetic. The work depicts a high-top sneaker, whose structure appears to melt into a surface with fluid contours. The white finish is a hallmark of its contemporary character, contrasting with the electric blue details with a metallic effect. This particular distortion, which the artist calls the “Drip Effect,” establishes a dialogue with the imagery of Salvador Dalí and offers an ironic reflection on status symbols and consumer culture. Its status as a one-of-a-kind piece reinforces the unique character of this creation, which straddles the boundaries of contemporary sculpture, design, and urban culture.

A British artist and designer, Debbie Wingham began her professional career in the field of haute couture, achieving international recognition for her luxury creations and designs crafted from precious materials. She later expanded her practice to sculpture and contemporary art, and since 2021 has focused her work on reinterpreting iconic fashion objects. Her works have garnered attention from international media outlets such as Vogue, Forbes, and the BBC, and have been featured in exhibitions and art projects linked to the worlds of luxury and design.
