Maurice Lacroix established itself during the final decades of the 20th century as a leading name in Swiss watchmaking, distinguished by its commitment to mechanical movements, the quality of its craftsmanship, and the development of collections that combined watchmaking tradition with contemporary design. Its growing specialization in mechanical complications, particularly through the Masterpiece line, helped solidify its reputation among enthusiasts of traditional watchmaking.
This automatic chronograph features a movement based on the famous Valjoux 7750, developed in 1973 and now one of the most recognized chronograph architectures in modern Swiss watchmaking. Its construction—featuring an integrated chronograph, a cam-driven system, and bidirectional automatic winding—constitutes a mechanical solution particularly valued for its robustness and ease of maintenance. This particular piece also features a five-position adjustment indicator, a technical refinement designed to optimize the movement’s rate stability.
In the watch descriptions, the phrase “it works” means that the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and were taken by our photographers; in other words, we do not use stock photography, which is why the photographs are considered part of the listing.
