Château Mouton Rothschild, one of Bordeaux’s five Premiers Grands Crus Classés, is one of Pauillac’s great historical landmarks. The 1997 vintage offers an elegant and approachable profile, characterized by its ripeness, soft tannins, and notes of black fruit, cedar, and spices.

Of particular interest is its label, designed by the renowned Franco-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930–2002), which offers a colorful and playful interpretation of the biblical theme of Eve’s temptation, with the serpent as the central figure.
