Finca Garbet is one of Castillo Perelada’s most iconic wines and a leading example of quality viticulture in the Empordà region. It comes from a unique terraced vineyard on slate soils, located next to the Mediterranean, north of Cap de Creus, where the maritime influence and the tramontana wind help define its character.
The 2001 vintage is of particular interest as it was the first commercial release of Finca Garbet, made from Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Under the winemaking direction of Delfí Sanahuja, this wine became one of the hallmarks of the Empordà’s wine-making renaissance, characterized by its concentration, complexity, and distinct Mediterranean identity. The fact that it is the inaugural vintage, combined with the presentation of six bottles in their original wooden case, further enhances the appeal of this set for collectors of fine Spanish wines.
