Viña El Pisón is one of the most renowned single-vineyard wines from Rioja Alavesa. Produced by Artadi from Tempranillo grapes grown in a vineyard planted in 1945 in Laguardia, on clay-limestone soils, it stands out for its precision and expression of the terroir. The 2002 vintage, marked by difficult weather conditions in Rioja, offers a more restrained interpretation of this wine, with a profile that may evolve toward notes of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco, undergrowth, and mineral nuances. Its origin from a historic plot and its presentation in an original six-bottle case add to the appeal of this collector’s set.
