This elegant vegetable-motif tapestry, belonging to the famous “feuilles de choux” style, reproduces a historical model housed at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, one of Europe’s leading institutions for the conservation of antique tapestries. The piece was produced by Éditions d’Art de Rambouillet, a prestigious French manufacturer that specialized, during the 20th century, in reproducing some of Europe’s most important historical tapestries. Its tapestries, crafted with great fidelity to the originals, made it possible to restore and share compositions preserved in prestigious museums and collections, becoming a benchmark for institutions, interior designers, and collectors seeking the technical quality and ornamental richness of the classical textile tradition. Thanks to the precision of their reproductions and the care taken in their execution, the works of Éditions d’Art de Rambouillet are today widely recognized for preserving and bringing the legacy of great European tapestry to the public.
