The hare that decorates the central disk introduces in this lucerne an image of great vitality, linked to the Roman animalistic repertoire. The animal is represented in movement, within a circular field framed by plant motifs, which gives dynamism to a piece of everyday use also converted into an ornamental support.

In Roman culture, hares were associated with fertility, speed and the world of hunting, appearing frequently in mosaics, reliefs and ceramic objects. In this skylight, the motif is integrated into a refined decoration, where the animal image dialogues with the function of illuminating domestic spaces.

The skylight has an elegant elongated shape, with a front spout, an upper handle and two feeding holes. The intact condition adds special interest, as the piece retains its complete form and a very balanced presence.
