DESCRIPTION
Pair of Chinese vases. Qing Dynasty, 19th century.
Bronze and cloisonné enamel.
Signed on the back.
Measurements: 18,5 x 8 x 8 cm.
Pair of Qing dynasty vases. Made in bronze, they are decorated with the cloisonné technique, which originated in China during the Yuan dynasty, spreading later to Europe.
In these vases, the compartments or cloisons in vitreous enamel separated by fine metal wire form floral medallions and bouquets of contrasting colors: turquoise blue, emerald green, purple and lapis lazuli blue form delicate compositions.
