DESCRIPTION
HERMÈS.
Picotin I bag, 2007.
Camel-colored Togo Nata leather. Two short top handles for carrying as a shoulder bag. Palladium-plated hardware. It features a central seam that accentuates its silhouette and a closure system consisting of a leather tab that passes through two metal rings and is secured by the signature Hermès padlock.
In excellent condition.
Measurements: 18 x 18 x 12 cm.
The Hermès Picotin is one of the brand’s most recognizable bags due to its minimalist design and its close ties to Hermès’ equestrian heritage. Launched in 2002, its silhouette is inspired by the old sacks used to carry horses’ rations of oats—hence its name, “picotin,” an old unit of measurement for horse feed—reinterpreting that functional object as a luxury handbag with clean lines.
