The Bolide is a 1923 design whose modernity remains intact to this day, making it a comfortable and elegant accessory that is completely timeless. The famous Hermès brand is known, among other things, for its use of fine and varied leathers, including tanned calfskin (with a smooth, glossy finish), Chamonix (leather with a matte finish), and Chevre de Coromandel (soft, lightweight leather).
The story of the first Hermès leather bag began in 1922, when the wife of one of the founder’s sons, Thierry Hermès, grew frustrated at not being able to find a bag to her liking. Her husband, Charles-Emile Hermès, decided to make her a custom-made handbag, which would mark the birth of the exclusive, iconic, and prestigious Hermès brand.
