Small attic lekythos with black background decorated with the technique of red figures, characteristic of the Greek ceramic production of the fourth century BC. The piece presents a stylized shape with globular body, narrow neck and side handle, traditionally intended to contain perfumed oils, especially in funerary contexts.
The decoration shows a figurative scene in orange tones on a dark background, framed by ornamental motifs, following the classic canons of late Attic ceramics. This type of vessels, in addition to their practical function, had a marked symbolic value in funerary rituals, associated with the anointing of the body and offerings in the tomb.
