André Kostolany (1906-1999) was an investor, economist and writer born in Budapest (then Austro-Hungarian Empire) and naturalized French. He became famous for his psychological and philosophical approach to financial markets.
Conservation: good condition; small losses commensurate with its age. No visible restorations.
Measurements: 8 cm high, 13,5 cm with stand.

Measurements: 8 cm height, 13,5 cm with pedestal.

Small bronze sculpture representing Mercury, Roman god of commerce and travel, identified by his characteristic attributes, such as the caduceus and the winged petasus. The figure is presented in a dynamic attitude, with schematic but expressive treatment.

This type of piece was destined for domestic worship, forming part of the lararia. It preserves a dark patina with greenish shades.
