Byzantine parietal relief in limestone, dated between the 6th and 7th centuries A.D., decorated with an exuberant vegetal repertoire carved in relief. The composition is organized around a central opening, framed by leaves, scrolls, flowers and fruits arranged with great ornamental sense, creating an effect of depth and movement characteristic of Late Antique and Byzantine decorative sculpture.

The piece stands out for the richness of its carving and the intensity of its vegetal language, where natural motifs are transformed into a symbolic and architectural pattern. The fluted leaves, clusters and floral forms generate a dense decorative network that combines classical tradition and Byzantine sensibility, with a clear taste for rhythmic repetition, chiaroscuro and stylization.

This type of relief was part of the architectural decoration of prestigious buildings, possibly in a religious or palatial context, where plant ornamentation evoked ideas of abundance, life, renewal and transcendence. Its parietal character and rectangular format suggest a function integrated in a larger decorative program, conceived to ennoble the space by means of a richly worked surface.
