"Balloon Dog" is part of the series "Celebration", started in 1994 and developed until 2000. In this sculptural series are represented everyday figures that seem to have been made with balloons, such as dogs, hearts, flowers, etc.. According to Koons, through this series he sought to reflect the happiness of celebrating a party, so he inflated balloons until he found the perfect shape.

Jeff Koons is one of the most influential American artists in contemporary art. His work is characterized by the appropriation of popular objects, toys, kitsch figures and icons of mass culture, treated with industrial finishes and a strong conceptual charge.
