DESCRIPTION

Japanese Imari vase. Meiji era, ca.1910.
In hand painted ceramic.
It has a hole on the back to pass lamp cord.
Exhibits sligthly wear consistent with age and use and small age marks.
Measurements: 32 x 18 x 18 cm.

Japanese vase made of finely hand-painted ceramic with the traditional Imari decoration, in a rich palette of cobalt blue, iron red and golden details. It presents profuse floral and geometric motifs, with floral arrangements in vases and ornamental medallions that decorate the entire body of the piece.

It has a hole drilled in the back, adapted to pass the wiring of a lamp, suggesting its later reuse as a decorative base.
