Cameo glass vase in Art Nouveau style In this piece, the contrast between the amber background and the overlays in brown tones produces a subtle chromatic vibration, evoking a luminous transition. The organic shapes and sinuous lines, characteristic of the Art Nouveau style, are harmoniously integrated into the surface of the glass, giving rise to a composition of great elegance and aesthetic refinement. Every detail of the relief seems inspired by nature, recalling leaves, flowers or vines that unfold gracefully on the vase.
The Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint-Louis, responsible for this work, is a prestigious French crystal factory renowned for its master craftsmanship. Founded in 1586 in the valley of Münzthal, in the Moselle region, it is distinguished as the oldest crystal factory in France and one of the most respected in Europe. Since its origins, Saint-Louis has maintained a tradition of excellence, combining ancestral techniques with a constant search for innovation and beauty.
Today, the company is part of the Hermès group, a symbol of luxury and high-quality craftsmanship. In its workshops, each piece is carefully blown, carved and decorated by hand by master craftsmen who perpetuate a know-how passed down from generation to generation. The result is unique creations, where the art of glass reaches its maximum expression through transparency, color and light.
