Pereira presents a work based on abstraction, in which the disparate forms make up a work full of dynamism and movement, based on the bichrome of black and white. The work is framed within the Galician plastic art of the second half of the twentieth century, characterized by avant-gardism and artistic novelties in his compositions.
Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts of La Coruña, Tomás Pereira belongs to the Group of the Insurgents, a group named by Jose Luis Bugalial to the painters Labra, Tenreiro, A. Lago. A. Abelenda, V. Chao and others. Throughout his career as an artist he has received various awards, such as the Imperio prize for interior painting, and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
