DESCRIPTION
ENZO BERTI (Pianiga, Italy, 1950) for LAPALMA.
"Fenj chairs", c.1980.
Steel and leather.
With label on the base.
Measurements: 37 x 62 x 71 cm.
Pair of armchairs designed by Enzo Berti and produced by the manufacturer Lapalma around 1980. The pieces have a metallized steel structure and seat covered in black leather. The design is based on an aesthetic line of sober, pure and modernist character that perfectly represents the Italian design of the 80s.
Enzo Berti is an Italian designer who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and at the Industrial Design Course of the Department of Architecture of the University of Venice. Since the 1980s he has dedicated himself full time to industrial design, collaborating with prestigious furniture brands: from Magis to Artemide, from Lago to Gervasoni. In the 1990s, he took on the artistic direction of numerous projects. He worked and collaborated with Lapalma, Montìna, Bross, Bauline, and also allowed the launch of new brands, such as Verdesign, Torremato, Kreoo, I-Radium, Hiko. He won numerous awards, including, in 2014, the Compasso d'Oro for the design of Bitta, an outdoor lamp.
