Measurements: 47 x 78 x 45 cm.
Set of 6 stacking chairs designed by Kari Asikainen in the last quarter of the twentieth century. A clear exponent of Nordic design, where functionality, lightness and structural precision are resolved with absolute coherence. The stackable condition, intelligently integrated into the design, provides versatility without compromising formal purity. Their clean lines and careful ergonomics make them particularly adaptable to different contexts.
Kari Asikainen is a designer recognized for his functional and durable approach to Scandinavian design. He was especially noted for his chairs for public spaces, such as the "Kari" series started in 1969, combining ergonomics, resistance and simple aesthetics, and in addition to his work as a designer, he developed an important academic career as a professor at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and at the MUOVA center, being awarded with relevant prizes in Finland for his contribution to industrial design.
