Pair of pendant lamps model Kastor, 1960s.
Copper structure with brass elements.

Measurements: 37,5 x 24 x 24 cm.
Attractive pair of hanging lamps model Kastor, characterized by its sculptural design based on the superposition of curved copper sheets that generate a suggestive play of volumes and reflections. This system not only provides formal dynamism, but also allows an indirect diffusion of light, creating a warm and enveloping illumination.
The combination of copper and brass, together with the purity of its lines, places these pieces as an excellent example of Danish design from the 1960s, increasingly appreciated by collectors and decorators.
Jo Hammerborg was one of the leading Danish lighting designers of the 20th century and creative director of Fog & Mørup between 1957 and 1980. During this period he developed some of the firm's most emblematic models, characterized by their formal innovation and constructive quality. His work is framed within Scandinavian modernism and is represented in design collections such as the Designmuseum Danmark, consolidating his international recognition.
