DESCRIPTION

Iron and rosewood.
Measurements: 77 x 160 x 80 cm.
Although of Spanish production, this desk attributed to the firm H. Muebles stands out for an aesthetic clearly linked to Scandinavian mid-century. Its design, sober and elegant, is defined by straight lines and balanced proportions, while the set of three drawers on the left side reinforces its functionality, fully responding to its use as a desk.
Because of its aesthetics and formal treatment, the desk under tender can be related to the firm H. Muebles, a Spanish company founded in 1958 by the Huarte family, whose name refers precisely to this business group, very active in the field of construction and cultural promotion in post-war Spain. More than just a manufacturer, H. Muebles played a fundamental role in the modernization of Spanish furniture, collaborating with architects and designers to develop pieces in line with the principles of modern architecture, characterized by their functionality, structural clarity and formal purification, thus becoming one of the most important publishers of Spanish design between the 1950s and 1970s.
