The "Flame" lamps by Pietro Taglia are characterized by their sculptural and organic shape, inspired by the movement of a flame. Made in Murano blown glass during the 1960s, they feature elongated, flowing silhouettes with soft curves that seem to rise in space. They are usually made in white or translucent glass, which allows for warm, diffused lighting, although some incorporate slight shades of color or transparencies.
Pietro Taglia is an Italian designer known primarily for his Mid-Century style lighting creations, particularly noted for his chandeliers made of Murano blown glass. Active mainly during the 1960s, his designs are characterized by organic and fluid shapes, such as the well-known "Flame Lamps", which evoke the movement of a flame.
