The Spinnacker chair responds to a design of great formal refinement, the result of a research on the economy of space and constructive precision. The play of curves and counter-curves printed on the wood traces elegant arches that bring dynamism to the whole without the design losing geometric rigor. This synthesis between functionality, formal beauty and technical refinement is one of the most recognizable constants in Jaime Tresserra's work.
Some of Tresserra's most iconic models achieved a notable cultural projection by being incorporated into widely distributed film productions. His furniture was used to set the Batman universe and, later, chosen by directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, who incorporated Tresserra pieces in films such as Carne trémula and La flor de mi secreto.
Jaime Tresserra began his projection in 1987 when he presented his first collection at the Valencia International Furniture Fair, where he won the Award for Best Design in Modern Furniture. In 1994 he founded Tresserra Collection, a firm dedicated to the exclusive production of his designs. His pieces were exhibited at international fairs such as Milan and Cologne and received awards such as the ID International Design Magazine Award and the International Design Review Award in New York, consolidating him as a reference in Spanish design at the end of the 20th century.
