L'isola Che Non C'è is a rare firm in the international market, which adds uniqueness and collector value to their pieces.

Made of lacquered metal with a perforated shade, the design of this lamp combines technical functionality and an industrial aesthetic typical of Italian design of the period, halfway between utilitarian and sculptural. Its articulated and adjustable structure allows a great versatility of use, making it a piece as functional as it is decorative.

The lamps published by L'Isola Che Non C'è, an Italian firm active mainly between the seventies and eighties, are characterized by a design of strong industrial and experimental inspiration. Many are made of lacquered metal, with articulated structures, visible screws, adjustable arms and perforated shades reminiscent of the Meccano construction system, giving them a technical, playful and almost sculptural look. Their aesthetics are in keeping with the radical Italian design climate of the time: functional objects but with a very strong visual presence, where the mechanics are exposed as part of the formal language. Bright colors - red, white, yellow or black - and geometric combinations that emphasize the structure of the lamp are frequent. What is most interesting is that these pieces transform a work lamp into an expressive and decorative object. Thanks to their joints and Puncture elements, they generate very particular light and shade effects, combining functionality, playfulness and experimentation, characteristics that have made them highly sought-after pieces within vintage Italian design.
