Paul Dupré-Lafon was a French architect, interior designer, and furniture designer, considered one of the most prominent figures of the late Art Deco period. He developed an elegant and refined style, characterized by understated lines, balanced proportions, and the use of fine materials such as parchment, leather, exotic woods, chrome-plated steel, and stone. Specializing in custom interiors and furniture for a high-end clientele, he collaborated closely with Hermès, for whom he designed various luxury objects and accessories. The exclusivity of his work—largely consisting of one-of-a-kind pieces—combined with the quality of his design, has made his works some of the most highly valued on the international 20th-century design market.
