The Fukushu is a rare model that is no longer in production, belonging to a particularly experimental phase in Ingo Maurer’s career. Designed for dimmable halogen lighting, it allows you to adjust both the height of the light source and the arrangement of its diffusers, so that the perception of the light and the structure itself changes depending on its configuration.

Its appeal lies in the combination of technical precision and free composition: Maurer transforms the table lamp into a lightweight, mutable structure, akin to a small kinetic sculpture. The fact that it is a pair, its early production by Design M, and the preservation of the original dimmers all enhance the set’s collectible appeal.

Ingo Maurer founded Design M in Munich in 1966 and dedicated his career to exploring the technical, poetic, and emotional possibilities of light. His designs are part of the collection at MoMA in New York, and the Cooper Hewitt dedicated the retrospective *Provoking Magic: Lighting of Ingo Maurer* to him.
