Desk, mid-twentieth century design.
Rosewood. Needs refinishing.
Measurements: 76 x 152 x 85 cm.
Desk entirely made of rosewood, with a design of refined forms, regular straight lines and rounded volumes, which expressively contrast with the beautiful natural grain of the wood, with sinuous and organic lines. It consists of a rectangular table top, with sharp edges, raised on two side stretcher frames composed of two straight legs, rectangular in section, joined together by a lower footing, with the same shape, and a half-height crossbar, which reinforces the construction. The back of the cabinet is closed with three doors, two simple side doors and a central one as a hinged lid, each with an independent lock. In the front there are two bodies of drawers, on both sides of the central hollow for the legs. Each side body has three drawers with smooth, molded fronts and recessed handles, made of the same wood.
