Acislo Manzano began his training at the Professional Training School of Arts and Crafts in Santiago, the sculptor has commented that among his vocations were those of being everything: writer, bishop, general, painter and poet. In his early days, he began to work in Francisco Asorey's workshop. With his work he established himself as one of the so-called "renovators of contemporary Galician art". Together with Xaime Quesada and Vicente Risco, he formed what was known as the group "Os Artistiñas", also known as "O Volter", the name of the bar where they used to meet and socialise. Acisclo Manzano is an elected member of the Galician Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His work is defined as figurative, although some of his works bear the stamp of abstraction. His works try to reflect the harmony between the material and the form in fact, in the artist's own words, when a sculpture is proposed to him, the first thing he does is to study the project and analyse the surroundings, it can take him months to reach a conclusion, but then when it is already installed he tries not to notice that it is there. Acisclo Manzano has exhibited in many artistic spaces around the world such as the United States, Europe, and practically all of Spain. He has also been awarded various prizes such as the Celanova, Casa dos Poetas, in 2004, as well as international awards, which form part of an extensive curriculum.
