Cristobal is a sculptor who has made the spiral his leitmotiv. His sculptures, among other concepts, metaphorically evoke the spiritual power of the Himalayas, the spiral being a symbol of infinity and eternity. The Himalayas are sacred to the followers of five Asian religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and the indigenous Bon tradition of Tibet. They revere the mountains as places of power and inspiration where many of their most important sages and masters have reached the heights of spiritual realization.
