"La Font, 1962.
Terracotta.
Signed.
Wooden stand.
Measurements: 19 x 19,5 x 12 cm.

"La Font" brings together classical motifs (the amphora, the female figure, idealized serenity) and reinterprets them in a modern key: the woman is the image of primordial generosity, the human vessel that contains and pours life. The choice of terracotta underlines the connection with the earth and with the Mediterranean ceramic tradition, while the Noucentista-influenced stylization organizes the piece within a canon of harmony and balance.

Antoni Bellmunt participated in the Municipal Exhibition of Fine Arts of Barcelona in 1951, with the work "Isla de Formentera", which is currently part of the collection of the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
