DESCRIPTION
SALVADOR MOLLÁ SORIANO (Spain, 1960).
"Textures of gold", 2025.
Glazed ceramic. Unique piece.
Signed with anagram.
Measurements: 72 x 76 x 21 cm.
The piece, conceived as a wall sculpture, stands out for the contrast between the base of stony appearance, in turquoise tones and reddish accents and the golden intervention, which introduces an element of luxury and sophistication. This gold is not presented as a mere ornament, but as a gesture that dialogues with decorative tradition, evoking classical motifs reinterpreted from a contemporary sensibility.
In Salvador's work, the materials are often the protagonists and motors of the creative process. Salvador Moya has an extensive artistic career that is expressed in various disciplines: drawing, painting, sculpture with different materials and treatments, although he mainly works with ceramics, a material with which he has had a great professional projection, applied in architecture and decoration. It is also common in his work the use of iron, steel, glass, wood, etc. in any of his creations, providing an interesting contrast to his work, and distinguished by the recovery of materials or the conversion of furniture.
