This sculpture follows the historicist trend characteristic of the turn of the last century, when ancient styles and echoes of the past achieved remarkable popularity. In this case, we are looking at a Crucified Christ that reproduces late medieval models, specifically those characteristic of the late Gothic style, with examples within the circle of Alejo de Bahía and other masters of the late 15th century.
