Noucentista silver bracelet with enamels. Catalonia, ca. 1900.
Rigid bracelet made of silver, composed of a succession of articulated rectangular links, richly decorated with polychrome enamels in blue, green and yellow tones, applied in relief. The design presents a rhythmic repetition of stylized floral motifs and scrolls, organized in a symmetrical and orderly manner, in line with the formal ideology of Catalan Noucentisme, which advocates harmony, compositional clarity and the recovery of a refined classicism.
The careful execution of the enameling, well preserved, shows a quality craftsmanship, typical of the Catalan jewelry of the early twentieth century.
