This engraving from 1975, belonging to the series "Homage to Leonardo Da Vinci", summarizes Salvador Dalí's fascination with the Renaissance genius, filtering his interest in science, mechanics and anatomy through the surrealist imaginary. The composition combines tradition and dream: the central figure, with its ochre silhouette and almost constructive texture, evokes Leonardo's anatomical studies and the Vitruvian ideal of the human body as a measure of the universe.

In the lower corner, the industrial element refers directly to Da Vinci the inventor, reinterpreted as a protosurrealist object. The scattered letters introduce a typographic and enigmatic game -a frequent resource in the late Dalí-, while the circular and swirling strokes suggest energy and chaos, a modern version of the Leonardesque sfumato. A limited edition graphic work, it represents in an exemplary way the Dalinian dialogue between art history, symbolism and visual experimentation.
