Of refined and elegant design, the figure of the Olympic goddess rises solemnly above the five rings, framed by a frieze of marked geometry that alternates golden and black tones, evoking a refined and modern aesthetic. The whole seems to symbolically protect the scene against the harbor landscape of Amsterdam.
The recipient of this scroll is not a minor character, but the bronze medalist Achille Tribouillet, a member of the prestigious Enfants de Neptune de Tourcoing club - founded in 1904 and Olympic champion in 1924 under the captaincy of Henri Padou, who would also become president in 1928. Tribouillet, already European runner-up in 1927, took an active part in the Olympic tournament, playing in all six matches and standing out especially in the semifinals, where he scored a goal against Hungary, the eventual finalist.
