German school of the 19th century.
"Virgin with crown of thorns".
Oil under glass.
Measurements: 52 x 40 cm; 67 x 57 x 5 cm (frame).

This religious representation shows a Saint, it could be Saint Catherine or Saint Theresa, holding in her hands the crown of thorns. She is looking towards the top of the composition, symbol of the divine prophecy she is receiving, while in the background are the Holy Scriptures and the skull. The meticulous technique and attention to detail stand out.
