The painter Antonio Collado felt interest in painting since childhood, and in 1973, with seventeen years, held his first exhibition in the hall of the Chamber of Commerce of his hometown. Since then he has held regular exhibitions, both in Spain and abroad. He was self-taught and began his production from figuration, to gradually evolve towards informalism and, currently, focus on the investigation of expressive abstraction. Since 1988 he has also worked in sculpture, engraving and lithography. He has received several awards and is currently represented in various public and private collections.
