In this work, Robert Llimós presents a scene of strong symbolic character. The formal simplification of the characters, together with the intensity of the color and the frontality of the scene, refer to the expressive language characteristic of Llimós, in which figurative elements and a free and poetic interpretation of reality coexist.

Llimós became known in 1964, with a joint exhibition with, among others, Arranz Bravo, Bartolozzi and Gerard Sala. His work can be found in outstanding collections such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Espirito Santo Museum of Modern Art in Brazil, the Contemporary Art Collection in Madrid, the Fine Arts Museums of Alava and Seville, the Fondazione Lucio Amelio in Naples, the Salvador Allende International Museum of Resistance in Santiago de Chile, the Peter Stuyvesant Foundation in Amsterdam, the Palau Solleric in Palma de Mallorca and the MACBA in Barcelona, among others.
