With this work, Ona Roca explores the volumetric construction of the portrait through a delicate play of light and shadow, although it is especially the intense and vibrant chromatic hallmarks that give the composition a marked dreamlike atmosphere.

The artist showed from a very early age a clear vocation for art, learning to draw even before she could speak. Self-taught in her beginnings, she later graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Although her artistic practice has developed mainly through two-dimensional techniques such as drawing and painting, during the last year of her career she also discovered a deep interest in sculpture.

His work, figurative in nature, is particularly inspired by human anatomy and portraiture, approached from a refined and minimalist aesthetic in which attention to detail occupies an essential place. Despite her still early career, she has been recognized twice with the first prize of the Pere Buezo Painting Competition and has presented her work at the Barcelona Llum 2022 festival. Also, her final degree project was selected to be part of the exhibition Sense Títol 2022 of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona.
