The piece features a wide, hemispherical bowl supported by a slender black glass stem, whose balanced silhouette fully embodies the Art Deco style. The body displays a gradation from opalescent cream to amber-orange, enriched with violet-blue inclusions and a fine white speckling that adds depth and luminosity. The contrast with the dark stem and base reflects the design language developed by Charles Schneider in the 1920s, based on refined forms and the expressive power of color.

Founded by Charles and Ernest Schneider in Épinay-sur-Seine, the manufactory became one of the leading names in French Art Deco glassware. Its pieces are characterized by their rich color palette, the combination of opalescent and colored glass, and the use of contrasting inlays—techniques that allowed the creation of objects with a strong sculptural presence and technical refinement.
