Juli Ramis was a Majorcan painter influenced by the painting of Joaquim Mir, Santiago Rusiñol and Hermen Anglada Camarasa. After his stay in Barcelona, Madrid and Paris, he came into contact with the Spanish post-cubist avant-garde, developing his own characteristic art, the result of the study and observation of the novelties that were being developed in the important European cities at that time. His figure as an artist stands out for his great mastery of drawing, as well as for the cubist and fauvist influence that made him one of the precursors of informalism. Throughout his career he exhibited in national (Madrid, Palma, Barcelona) and international cities (The Hague, London, Zurich), as well as in the first Hispano-American Art Biennial in 1951, the Venice Biennial in 1960 and the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in Paris. He is currently represented at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, Lion, Israel and Madrid.
